On several occasions some people have asked me about the reproduction of Axies, how much they cost, how to know what can come out, among other things, that is why I have made this small guide on the breeding of Axies.
The genes of an Axie
the Axies They have 6 parts (eyes, ears, boca, horn, lomo, cola) and each of these parts contains 3 gene sets (dominant, recessive 1 and recessive 2).
? Dominant (D): The dominant trait is the strongest and most likely to be passed on to children. This is the trait you see on each axie and it represents the cards you can play..
? Recessive 1 (R1): It is the second strongest gene.
? Recessive 2 (R2): It is the weakest gene and is least likely to be passed on to children.
How are the genes of an Axie determined?
A dominant gene has a 37,5% transmission possibilities, an R1 gene has a 9.375% transmission possibilities and an R2 gene has a 3.125% probability of being transmitted.
If you add each of these numbers: 37.5 + 9,375 + 3,125 = 50%
Where do you get the other 50%? From the other parent, put two Axies together and that will give you all the odds for the boy.
To find out what the genes of a baby may be, I suggest you use one of these two or both tools: axie.zone brood calculationry monster breeding calculator.
Example 1: using the axie.zone calculator
The first thing you should do is go to this link and this will appear:
After, you must enter the IDs of the Axies you want to reproduce and click on Race:
Ready, You already have an idea of ??how your next Axie can be:
Note: To see the complete genes of your axie you must activate the “advanced mode”.
Example 2: using the freakitties calculator
To use this tool you must enter this link:
In the same way as the calculator above, you must enter the parent ID and click on “calculate“:
Unlike axie.zone, this will simply show you the odds of some features over others.
What is the genetic mutation in Axie Infinity?
Genetic mutation is an additional probability (not officially determined) the offspring developing unexpected R1 or R2 genes that neither parent possesses; Thus, no matter how pure the parents are, there will always be the opportunity to change inherited genetics and, therefore, forcing breeders to obtain new Axies while retaining their value.
These changes arose due to the growth that Axie Infinity is having, since the breeders were purifying the genes of their offspring until achieving a total of genetic perfection. It was enough to obtain Axies with perfect genes to generate infinitely pure Axies without needing to obtain new ones.
How i know decide Axies classes?
When mating the Axies, the child will inherit one of the parent's classes. If you match a reptile and a plant, there's a 50% probability that the baby is a reptile and a 50% probability that it is a plant.
If you raise two Axies of the same class together, then there is a 100% chances of offspring being of that class.
Stages of an Axie
Right now the Axies have 2 etapas: egg and adult.
? Axies eggs remain in this stage for 5 days.
At this point in the life of the Axie it is not known which genes it will inherit, can only be seen floating in his incubator. The color of the egg does not necessarily have to do with the type it will become. Egg color is based on parents:
? After those 5 days, the option of “Transform to adult”, Click there and your Axie will be ready for battle.
Patterns and colors of an Axie
The color and body type of an Axie are very similar, Each Axie has a set of genes that help determine what color and body shape your children will get. You can also see these traits at the bottom of the rarity calculator.:
Types of body patterns
There are many different patterns an Axie can have. Most have the same shape but different designs on the side of the body. These are some examples:
Normal
As you can see, each Axie has a unique color and a different design on the side of its body. If you put an Axie's ID in the freakitties calculator, you can also see recessive colors and patterns.
There are also Axies that have the same size as normal patterns, but they are hairier and fluffier:
And finally, there are body patterns “specials” that generally make them a little more valuable. These are “Wet dog«,«Sumo” and “Yes grande«:
These 3 special body types can be obtained through the transmission of genes from parents. There is also “tricks” specials that can be used to obtain one of these:
How to see the recessive genes of an Axie?
While browsing the market or your inventory, it can be very helpful to see the recessive genes of any Axie.
Freakitties also created a Chrome extension (also works in Brave) what makes it possible for you to see them. Like other stats like HP, speed, etc, without having to enter the Axie page.
Download the extension from here:
Once you install the extension, immediately (will reload the site if it is not displayed) you will see the new information on the Marketplace screen.
This is what each piece of information means:
Eggplant emoji: Number of breeds (reproductions).
H: Health.
S: Speed.
METRO: Moral (moral).
Q: Purity (% purity).
If you place the cursor in the statistics bar, you will see all the genes:
You can do the same on a specific Axie page:
How much does it cost to reproduce the Axies?
Each Axie has a cost of 2 AXS and an SLP that is determined by the number of matings a certain Axie has already had. Each Axie can be played a maximum of 7 times, and each reproduction becomes more expensive.
As an example, if you want to play 2 Axies, a virgin (150 SLP) and another with 3 races (750 SLP), according to the previous table that reproduction will cost you 900 SLP.
